THE INSTITUTE

Institute of Hotel Management, Faridabad is a Registered Society, and is an autonomous body under Department of Tourism, Govt. of Haryana. It has been set up for coordinated growth and development of hospitality education and training in the country. The Institute was established in the year 1989 as Food Craft Institute and started functioning from August 1989. It has been up-graded as Institute of Hotel Management since July 2009. The institute is located adjacent to famous Badkhal Lake Tourist Resort, and is easily accessible by rail and road. Institute has produced 1985 trained manpower till date in the following courses:

They occupy entry-level positions in Hotels / Restaurants / Fast Food Chains / Airlines / Cruise Lines / State Tourism Corporation; in India and abroad.

National Award for Excellence in Hospitality Education: Institute has been awarded 1st Prize of National Award for Excellence in Hospitality Education for its meritorious performance for the year 2007-08 by the Ministry of Tourism and National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, on 25.03.2009.
